CliniFlow
CliniFlow® is a comprehensive medical records and resource management system
specifically designed for use in community health and ambulatory care clinics.
CliniFlow efficiently and comprehensively addresses the medical records aspects
of the examining physician's encounter with the patient. CliniFlow users can
enter patient information in a variety of ways. Medical data entered by nurses,
technicians, and physicians is stored conveniently and logically in the
CliniFlow medical record, and can be analyzed to determine utilization levels
and outcomes.
CliniFlow conforms to open database and connectivity standards and is HL7
compliant. It may be integrated or interfaced with other clinical, practice
management, laboratory and research systems with very little effort.
General Features
CliniFlow is designed for use in large, multi-user practices, such as extensive
Network settings in which many physicians, including specialists in various
fields, all work with the same patient population. It is suitable for
single-user practices as well.
CliniFlow is customized to meet the BPHC Disease Management Collaborative
requirements. Standards compliance is integrated throughout the system through
tools like customized templates, automated alerts and rules, and extensive
medication safety checks.
Versatility
Physicians who prefer not to use the computer while they interact with patients
find this program easy to use. It requires virtually no typing; users simply
select from standard lists. With use, CliniFlow automatically compiles a
personalized list of an individual physician's most commonly used symptoms,
signs, diagnoses, medications and tests. The personalized list can also be
instantly expanded to standard, extensively detailed lists.
If physicians prefer not to perform direct data entry, a transcriptionist can
enter the information and the system will organize the information in a way that
makes subsequent consultations far more efficient. CliniFlow is applicable to
all specialties: each user defines an individualized database from comprehensive
tables provided and selects standard forms for each procedure, such as stress
EKG, colonoscopy, etc.
Security and Confidentiality
CliniFlow features a sophisticated, but simple-to-use method of password control
and data entry identification (audit trail) for all data entered and retrieved.
A hierarchy of access permissions set in the management module allows variable
levels of access to patient and clinical data.
Generation of Statistical Analysis
The ability to generate statistical analysis of medical, as well as non-medical
data, provides significant economic and efficiency benefits. A physician can
instantly gain an overview of the practice. At a glance, a general practitioner
can review the spectrum of conditions in the patient population, trends of
particular infections over time or responses to various antibiotics within a
season. Overviews and cross-sections of a practice, such as billing trends,
productivity and time-utilization, can demonstrate cost benefit effectiveness.
The incorporation of a powerful SQL Client Server Database allows large group
practices or Network operations to consolidate, integrate, and analyze data.
Workflow Management
CliniFlow provides convenient automated messaging features which enhance
inter-staff communication and workflow processes. Users can send messages
between stations, either independently or attached to an individual patient's
files, indicating urgency status or other information. Every user has a personal
In Box which tracks work assignments, unfinished tasks, and internal mail.
CliniFlow modifies workflow processes to offer consistency, efficiency and
accuracy..
